Nuvation Engineering worked with Toyota on Project BLAID to design a wearable electronic device that would  assist the visually impaired with navigation.

  • Innovative wearable technology based on the 8-core Samsung Exynos 5422 Application Processor
  • High density power supply design for 8-core application processor
  • 10 buck converters & 30 LDO’s in less than 3cm² PCB real estate
  • Met strict PDN DC / AC impedance requirements
  • Design of custom flex PCB carrying 2 impedance controlled CSI links over 25cm
  • MCNEX MC6B2 2 Megapixel camera modules
  • Texas Instruments’ DRV2604 haptic driver
  • Texas Instruments WiLink 8 (Wi-Fi/Bluetooth) module
  • KitKat 4.4.2 Android platform
