06/19/08: ORLANDO, FL —  Air-HockeyBot 1000: Nuvation introduces a robot that aims to top humans playing air hockey
 

Nuvation introduced a robot that plays air hockey, at the annual Freescale Technology Forum, and won the 'People's Choice Award' for best innovation. Utilizing advanced algorithms developed by Nuvation for puck motion estimation, game strategy, and visual field distortion correction, Air-HockeyBot 1000 challenged 8 out of every 10 players from scoring in their first 3 minutes! The intelligence is implemented on custom hardware developed by Nuvation featuring Freescale Coldfire and 9S08 microprocessors.

    04/02/2008: LAS VEGAS, NV — Nuvation Showcases Four Engineering Reference Designs for the Video Security Industry. Today at the ISC West trade show, Nuvation, a leading Electronics Design Services firm, is demonstrating four video security reference designs:
    • “IP Cam Mini,” the smallest IP Camera of its class
    • “IP Cam PoE,” a compact form factor IP Camera with Power over Ethernet (PoE)
    • “IVS,” an Intelligent Video Server for encoding and streaming audio/video from CCTV cameras
    • “McVFE,” a Multichannel Video Front-End for encoding up to 16 CCTV cameras

    02/26/2008: DALLAS, TX — Nuvation introduces four video reference designs based on Texas Instruments’ DaVinci™ Technology. At the worldwide Texas Instruments Developer Conference (TIDC), Nuvation unveiled:

    • IP CAM PoE: An IP camera with Power-over-Ethernet
    • Intelligent Video Server (IVS) : A 1-channel audio/video streamer
    • MCVFE: A video security Multichannel Video Front-End, and
    • SVP: An ultra-high performance, Scalable Video Platform. 
    Engineering evaluation units are available for purchase and the reference design source files can be licensed from Nuvation.  Nuvation also offers project-based and China Offshore Development Center (CODC) electronic design services.

    Nuvation's IP Camera Mini, IP Camera PoE, and Intelligent Video Server reference designs are available for purchase and license.   McVFE and SVP are being demonstrated today and will release in Q2 ’08.  Contact sales@nuvation.com for more information.
